ABOUT THE WEBINAR:
The rehabilitation biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system is a traditional research direction, but it is obviously different from orthopedic biomechanics. Rehabilitation biomechanics pays more attention to the long-term chronic mechanical effects on human tissues and organs, and more uses in vivo research methods, which are more closely related to daily life and clinical application.
In recent years, we have applied orthopedic biomechanics research methods to rehabilitation biomechanics, and combined with new technologies such as artificial intelligence and wearable devices to give rehabilitation biomechanics new vitality. We have carried out finite element analysis in the research of massage therapy of traditional Chinese medicine. This has provided more objective information for innovation of traditional medical. Our team applied kinematics and dynamics testing, inverse dynamics analysis, finite element simulation and other methods to carry out biomechanical research on Tai Chi and Wuqinxi, combined with brain function analysis and clinical trials to explain the rehabilitation mechanism of traditional fitness exercises. The research focuses on the two key issues of the safety and effectiveness of mechanics. It solves the controversial problem of practicing Tai Chi in patients with knee arthritis, points out the direction for clinical trials of Tai Chi in the treatment of hip arthritis. Boxing provides scientific advice and compares the mechanical effects of Wuqinxi with clinically recommended rehabilitation therapies. Based on the mechanics and brain function mechanisms, we modified Tai Chi and Wuqinxi movements to provide patients with personalized exercise programs.
